Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • Track and manage workflow, including communication with cross-functional teams and other departments
  • Provide information for strategy implementation and departmental goals
  • Redesign existing monographs using analytical chemistry knowledge
  • Collaborate with a team of scientists on standards development and revision
  • Work with regulatory agencies, collaborators, and other pharmacopeias
  • Support the preparation of manuscripts for publication
  • Collaborate with various departments on monograph-related issues
  • Regularly meet with other Pharmacopeial Specialists to monitor progress and identify challenges
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Pharmacopeial Specialist

  • MSc in Chemistry or a relevant scientific field
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience with USP-NF tests and standards; or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field with a minimum 0 to 1 year
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as chromatography, wet chemistry, spectroscopy, and titration in a laboratory setting

Senior Pharmacopeial Specialist

  • MSc in Chemistry or a relevant scientific field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with USP-NF tests and standards; or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field with a minimum 1-2 years
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as chromatography, wet chemistry, spectroscopy, and titration in a laboratory setting

Desired Preferences

While not requirements or disqualifications, the ideal candidate may possess additional preferred levels of expertise to perform the role.
