IBAB Life Sciences JRF Job – Applications Invited
IBAB, located in Electronic City, Bengaluru, is an autonomous institute dedicated to education, research, and entrepreneur support programs. We are currently seeking motivated candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow in our collaborative research project with the biotech industry. The selected candidate will join the Synthetic Biology group at IBAB, working under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Ghosh on a project involving the engineering of yeast strains for the production of biologics. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of cutting-edge research in the field.
Position Details:
- Project Title: Engineering yeast strains for production of biologics
- Supervisor: Dr. Sanjay Ghosh
- Duration: 5 years
- Accommodation: Accommodation will be provided in the IBAB hostel
- Master’s degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Zoology/Genetics, or related subjects with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.50 CGPA from a recognized university.
- Experience in yeast genetics, basic molecular biology, and cell biology techniques including cloning methods, microscopy, and FACS analyses.
- Ability to maintain accurate lab records and perform data analyses, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team, and a willingness to learn.
- Experience of working in the industry is preferred.
Remuneration:
As per DST (Department of Science and Technology) norms. The fellowship will be extended annually based on a review of work and satisfactory progress as long as the project funding is available.
