The National Institute of Biologicals (NIB) is an apex autonomous Institute under the administrative control of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India engaged
in Quality Control Evaluation of various-biological products like vaccines, blood products, blood reagents, sera, Immuno—diagnostic kits etc. produced and imported in to India.

The following position is available for contractual appointment under External Quality Assessment Scheme (EQAS) under NACP – V of National AIDS Control Organization (NACO).

Essential Qualification: B.Sc in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life Sciences;

Essential Experience:

  • 5 years of experience working in any diagnostic laboratory for candidates with B. Se. in the above subject.
  • 2 years of experience working in any diagnostic laboratory for candidates with M.Sc / B. Tech in above mentioned subjects.
  • Candidates with experience working in accredited labs or those labs who have applied for accreditation will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities: Will work in accordance to the operational and technical guidelines of NACO issued from time to time focusing on but not limited to the following activities:

  1. Monthly visit to their respective SRLs. Submit the tour report to In-charge NRL and
    a copy to NACO.
  2. Supervisory and troubleshooting, root cause analysis in testing errors in ICTCs
    under SRL.
  3. Supervision and mentoring of laboratory technicians of SA-ICTCs/PPCTCS through on site visits.
  4. Monitor the work related to EQA including sending of panels to ICTCs and SRLs. EQA data analysis and reporting.
  5. Trainings: organizing ICTC—LT training.
  6. Enter data in IIMS/NACO Prayogshala / any other latest e-tool developed for results reporting

Remuneration: Rs. 35,000/-P.M. (consolidated)
