Project Title: Prioritisation of freshwater ecosystems

Age Limit: Must not be over 35 years as on 23rd June, 2023 which can be relaxed for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India. Relaxation in age, educational qualifications or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates.

Background of the project: Freshwater ecosystems in India play pivotal role in maintaining biodiversity, offering ecosystem services and overall well-being of human health. However, many freshwater ecosystems are reeling from multiple stress, many of which are anthropogenic in origin. To aid in the vision of Prioritisation of freshwater ecosystems of

The Nature Conservancy India, a project on mapping current ecosystem health of Upper Bhima Basin is to be undertaken using multifaceted approaches including mapping of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs). Qualifications: Master’s degree in Natural Science including Microbiology/Environmental Science/Zoology/Biotechnology. Proven experience conducting field sampling in various ecosystems such as freshwater ecosystems or in mapping of anthropogenic stressors in freshwater ecosystems would be welcome.

Salary – Rs 25000 per month (consolidated)
