Applications are invited from Indian nationals to work as Laboratory Assistants in a research project funded by the SERB, Govt. of India.

Name of the Project – Understanding regulation of synaptic morphogenesis by neuronal
signaling mediated by clathrin-mediated endocytosis
Duration: 1 year (with the possibility of extension up to 2 years subject to satisfactory
performance).
Age: Applicant should not have completed 30 years of age at the time of application.

Essential Qualifications – B.Sc. or equivalent in any branch of Natural Sciences with a good academic record throughout. Previous experience working in neurobiology or development biology or biochemistry
will be an added advantage.
Job description: The candidate will assist in performing the large scale Drosophila genetics, biochemical experiments and preparing and processing samples for transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
Skills to be gained: The candidates during the training will gain hands-on experience
in neurogenetics, molecular biology, live-cell imaging and TEM.
Salary – Rs.20,000 + HRA (as applicable) or as per DST norms.
