Applications are invited for the position of one JRF and one RA in the Department of Biological Sciences at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a DBT sponsored research project titled “A study on molecular mechanisms of alternative splicing and its regulator SMAR1 in TNF-α induced metabolic syndrome in mammalian skeletal muscle and hypothalamic neuronal cells” [BT/PR40104/BRB/10/1898/2020].

Selected JRF candidates will get a chance to apply for the PhD degree at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus (Rules of the PhD program for BITS Pilani are applicable)
Fellowship Amount (Rs.):
- JRF: 31000.00 + HRA as applicable
- RA: 47000.00 + HRA as applicable
Qualification:
FOR JRF: Post Graduate Degree in Biochemistry/Genetics/Molecular Biology/ Zoology/ and *selected in any one of the following: –
- National Eligibility Tests- CSIR –UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- National-level examinations are conducted by central Government departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
*Non-NET/GATE candidates may also apply and may be considered for suitable positions.
FOR RA: PhD in one of the fields of Biology: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or Zoology. An in-depth understanding of molecular biology, gene regulation, and signal transduction is a must. Candidate must be familiar with rodent handling and basic in vivo experiments.
