Responsibilities:
- Genetic Engineering and Editing:

- Optimize and troubleshoot gene editing protocols for various microbial species.
- Microbial Strain Development:
- Develop and implement strategies for the improvement of microbial strains, focusing on enhanced productivity, stability, and desired traits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate genetic modifications into the microbial production platform.
- Molecular Characterization:
- Conduct molecular analyses to assess the success of genetic modifications, including PCR, qPCR, and DNA sequencing.
- Utilize analytical techniques to characterize and quantify gene expression and protein production in engineered microbes.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Analyze complex molecular and genetic data sets to draw meaningful conclusions and guide further experimentation.
- Work closely with bioinformaticians and data scientists to integrate genetic information into broader datasets.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of molecular biology experiments, protocols, and outcomes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, highlighting key achievements and providing recommendations for optimization.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate with scientists, researchers, and engineers to integrate molecular biology findings into overall project goals.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in genetic engineering and editing of microbial systems.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and DNA sequencing.
- Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 or other gene editing technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
