EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION-(ONLINE INTERVIEW)
Under the project: “An in-house point of care (POC) test using lateral flow Immunoassay with gold nanoparticle for detection of Factor VIII inhibitors in haemophilia A patients” at ICMR-NIIH, Mumbai.
1. Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical)
Number of Vacancies: 1 (One Post)
Emoluments: Rs. 56,000/- p.m. + 27% HRA.
Essential Qualification:
First Class postgraduate degree including the integrated PG degrees in Science (Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Life Science, Genetics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology).
Desirable Qualification:
- Second Class postgraduate degree including the integrated PG degrees in Science with Ph.D. in Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Life sciences, Microbiology.
- Experience in biochemistry and/or biotechnology laboratory assays and good analytical skills knowledge along with computer skill.
- Immunological assay expertise and Diagnostic assay development knowledge.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years.
Duration: One year, likely to be extended. (Project duration 3 years)

- Candidates must make their own arrangements for video call/video-conferencing facilities for online interviews. The link for the interview will be sent to the shortlisted candidates.
- Selected candidates will be intimated by email/phone and will have to bring all the required documents in original for verification at the time of appointment.
- Age relaxation for SC/OBC/PWD and experienced candidates will be as per the rules.
- The positions are on a temporary contract basis.
- The Director & Appointing Authority reserves the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason.
- Age, qualifications, etc., will be reckoned as on the date of the interview.
- The appointment can be terminated with one month’s notice from either side without assigning any reason.
- The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment at NIIH or continuation of their services in any other project.
- Certain allowances like CCA, LTC, Medical Claim, and PF are not applicable.
- The recruited project staff is eligible for leave as per project recruitment rules.
- At the time of joining duty, candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualifications, experience, Aadhaar Card, community and PH certificates (if applicable), along with photocopies duly attested for verification.
- The conditions of employment will be the same as that of the project staff on a contract basis.
