Vacancy: Vulture Monitoring Assistants for Vulture Translocation Programme (No.3 at each place)

Details about the job opening: The Bombay Natural History Society is working on the Vulture Conservation Breeding program to save critically endangered species from extinction. The programme has set up four Conservation Breeding Centres in the country (Pinjore in Haryana, Raja BhatKhawain West Bengal, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh and Rani in Assam). The vultures fit to be released in the wild will be released in Maharashtra Rajasthan and Assam. The vulture monitoring assistants are required to monitor the released vultures.

Job Description: The job will involve monitoring the tagged vultures.

Age: Below 30 years

Place of work: Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Assam.

Job Specification for Vulture Monitoring Assistants: The selected person should be preferably a Science Graduate from a recognized university/institution in Biology, Life Sciences/Environment Science. The candidate should have an interest in wildlife conservation and should be prepared to do work independently.

Experience: Birding experience of a minimum of 5 years.

Remuneration: Rs. 20,000 /- per month + Rs 5,000 towards Food Allowance, on a professional contract.
