Project Title: Photovoltaic Fed Microgrids: Integrated Intelligent Harmonic Control to Enable
Electric Vehicle Charging
Funding Agency: CENTRAL POWER RESEARCH INSTITUTE (CPRI), BANGALORE
Principal Investigator: Dr. Hari Om Bansal, Department of Elect. & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
Project Tenure: 2 Years
Job Description: This project aims to develop advanced charging schemes for solar assisted wide
band gap based fast EV chargers. The candidate will assist the PI in purchase of
components, develop and testing of the control algorithms and prototype
development of the complete system. He/she will also write research papers in
indexed journals, conferences and put efforts in applying for patents.
Qualification: First class M.E/M.Tech in power electronics/power quality/control systems or in
any other equivalent fields from a recognized University or equivalent, Prior
working experience on developing of algorithms for Electric vehicle charging,
controller-based hardware projects, etc. will have added advantage.
Desirable: GATE/NET qualified.
Upper Age Limit: Age not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed
up to 5 year for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.
Fellowship: 31,000/- per month for NET/GATE qualified candidates.
25,000/- per month for non-NET/GATE qualified candidates.
Registration for PhD.: Selected candidates will be given the opportunity for a full time PhD program at
BITS, Pilani as per the institute norms.
