CoA/RARS Ambalavayal Agricultural Sciecnes Faculty Jobs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the selection as Assistant Professor (Contract)
in the following disciplines at College of Agriculture Ambalavayal (CoA)/ Regional Agricultural
Research Station, Ambalavayal (RARS). The selection will be based on the walk-in-selection
process scheduled on 29-05-2023 (Monday). 

1. Horticulture 3 CoA 

2. Agricultural Entomology 3 CoA 

3. Plant Breeding and Genetics 2 CoA 

4. Agronomy 1 RARS 

5. Plant Pathology 2 CoA 

6. Agricultural Extension 2 CoA 

7. Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry 2 CoA 

8. Agricultural Engineering 1 CoA 

9. Animal Management 1 RARS 


 For posts 1 to 7, the candidates must possess bachelor’s degree in agriculture / horticulture,
master’s degree in concerned discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent
OGPA and have qualified NET in the concerned discipline. 

 For post 8, the candidates should possess bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering,
master’s degree in any discipline in agricultural engineering a minimum of 55% marks or
equivalent OGPA and have qualified NET. 

 For post 9, the candidates should possess bachelor’s degree in veterinary sciences, master’s
degree in any discipline in veterinary sciences a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent
OGPA and have qualified NET. 

 Candidates with NET will only be considered for selection. Candidates without NET will
be considered only in the absence of sufficient numbers of candidates with NET

 Candidates with Ph.D in concerned discipline and Teaching experience will be given due
weightage in selection process. 

 The maximum age limit is 40 years as on 01-01-2023. Age relaxation as per existing
Government will be granted to eligible candidates. 

Terms & Conditions: 

 The appointment will be on a contract basis and purely provisional for a period on one year
or till the appointment of permanent faculty, whichever is earlier. 

 The candidates will have no claim, in the College / Station / University other than the right
to receive the approved renumeration of Rs 44,100 (Rupees Forty-Four Thousand One
Hundred only) per month. The appointment in no way confirms him/her any right of
permanency or regularization in KAU. 

 Selected candidates will be eligible for one casual leave per month, subject to a maximum
of ten per year. 

 The candidate selected should execute an agreement in the prescribed format in stamp
paper worth Rs 200. 

 The candidates selected, will have to discharge all duties and responsibilities attach to the
post as per KAU Act/Statutes/Regulations and Rules at all the three stations mentioned in
the notification (CoA/RARS) and that may by assigned to him/her from time to time by
the head of the stations. 

 The College / Station / University reserves the right to terminate the services of the
appointee, if performance is found unsatisfactory or any defects are noticed. 

 After appointment, the candidate can discontinue the services and contract only with onemonth prior notice. 

 Candidates will not be eligible for any TA/DA for attending the interview or any other
selection process. 

Selection Procedure: 

 The candidate should attend for a walk-in-selection process, scheduled on 29-05-2023
(Monday) 10 am at Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Ambalavayal with all
original / duly attested copies of the certificates, A biodata in the prescribed format
(Provided as Annexure I) along with self-attested copies of all applicable certificates,
testimonials, research papers etc. should be submitted at the time of selection process. 

 No separate call letters will be sent for the section process / Interview. Candidates attending
the walk-in-selection process only be considered for the posting. 

 For the selection, the selection committee will be preparing a selection list based on the
evaluation criteria approved by the selection committee constituted.
